Day #22-
TRY SOMETHING NEW!
[Hooray our internet is back!]
I watched a lot of movies today. (That's what happens when you are a crafter and it's only a few days away from Christmas) They all seemed to have the same message. Don't be afraid to try something new, even when it doesn't fit into your "plan". So my new thing for the day?
Making a gingerbread house.
I have been talking about it the entire season. The only thing holding me back was the fact that I had never made one before. It seemed like a lot of work and I didn't know where to start. But who am I kidding? When has a lot of work in the kitchen scared me off?
After sitting on the couch all day, I needed something a little more active. Tonight was the night. And you know what? It was fun and dare I say, easy. I used this recipe from food network because it was the first link that came up when I Googled gingerbread house recipe. I didn't have a lot of amazing things to use as decorations, but a few Hershey kisses and peanut butter chips did just fine.
The hardest part was when I tried to take a picture with my finished gingerbread house. I got a lot of this...
But finally I think I got a good one.
What is something new you would like to try? Ice skating, skiing, baking?
The list is endless.
