We've been busy

Oh the end of summer is such a busy time.  That is, if you enjoy saving any of the summer harvest to enjoy all year long. 

In the past week we have canned...

• 22c of watermelon jam
• 33 quarts of tomato juice
• 9 quarts and 11 pints of peaches
• 3 pints of peach honey

Oh and made...

• 20 pasties (without the MSG, all butter in the crust and all beef inside)
• Avocado Ice Cream
• Chocolate Ice Cream
• Baked Peaches 

 And had people over to enjoy the outcome on 3 different occasions.

Sometimes I am glad that we only have about 2 or 3 weeks of summer with discretionary time.  I think we might wear ourselves out otherwise.  Or maybe it's just that we are trying to squeeze our whole summer into a few weeks.

Last on my list, to make summer complete, is a Phillies baseball game.  Good thing we have tickets for Sunday nights game thanks to our good friends.
